Co-founder and global chair of Fashion4Development has devoted her exuberant career to the international arena of cultural diplomacy; she has been the face of and international spokes-model for beauty and fashion enterprises; has championed the careers of artists from around the globe in fashion & beauty, visual and performing arts; has spearheaded diverse creative ventures & projects in fashion, entertainment, the arts and philanthropic causes.
Evie’s vocation is to generate sustainable and development worldwide and empower women. Defining the term “social entrepreneurship” through her achievements, Evie has taken her experience from the United Nations’ World
Federation and UNDPI and combined it with that of fashion, entertainment and the arts, to spearhead this revolutionary project.
Her motto, she says: “Heal the world through the spirit of the arts”. She hosts the ‘First Ladies & Fashion 4 Development Luncheon’ annually in NYC during the UN General Assembly “encourages leading women from around the world to shift the paradigm to social economics”.
Another critically important aspect of her work includes the initiative, Every Woman, Every Child. An unprecedented global movement, lead by the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, this project looks to mobilize and intensify global action to improve the health of woman and children around the world. Aiming to save the lives of 16 million woman and children, Every Woman Every Child works with leaders from governments, multilateral organizations, the private sector and civil society. Evie’s depth of knowledge allows her to be an integral part of this program and empower woman all over. One can only be inspired by Evie’s far-reaching vision and relentless drive.
